View mutual paid keywords
The mutual paid keywords view shows the keywords both your app and your competitor bid on. Use it to see where you compete head-to-head in Apple Ads and how impression share and ranking compare between you.
Open the mutual keywords view
- Run a competitor comparison.
- Click the middle segment card at the top of the page, labeled with both app names and the total count of mutually paid keywords.
- The keyword table below the cards updates to show only the keywords both apps bid on.
What you see in the table
Each row in the mutual keywords table shows the impression share and rank for both your app and your competitor on the same keyword. The columns are split so you can read both sides at a glance:
- Impression Share for your app and for the competitor.
- Rank for your app and for the competitor.
- Ranked Apps and Search Popularity for the keyword overall.
What to look for
- Keywords where your competitor has higher impression share, since this is where they are outbidding you.
- Keywords where your competitor outranks you organically, since this signals stronger overall relevance.
- High-volume mutual keywords where small share gains can translate into meaningful traffic.
