# Add a competitor to compare
Search Result/Competitor lets you benchmark your app’s paid keyword strategy against any rival in the App Store. Start by selecting your main app and adding a competitor to compare.
### Add a competitor
1. Open Search Result/Competitor from the Search Ads Intelligence menu.
2. Select your main app from the first app dropdown.
3. Open the second app dropdown and search for the competitor by name.
4. Select the competitor from the suggestions to load the comparison.
**Keep in mind!**
You can use this view to compare competitor activity side by side, or benchmark competitor activity against your own.
### What you see after adding a competitor
Once both apps are loaded, the page displays headline metrics for each side at the top, three keyword segment cards in the middle (unique to your app, mutual, unique to the competitor), and a detailed keyword table at the bottom showing Total Impression Share, 1st Placement Impression Share, 2nd Placement Impression Share, rank, ranked apps, and search popularity for both sides.
