Why you cannot see previous attribution data

If you cannot see attribution data from before your MMP integration date in MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform, this is expected behavior. This article explains how historical data availability works and why data before your integration date is not visible by default.

Dependence on MMP data

MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform integrates closely with your chosen MMP to track and attribute user actions to your advertising campaigns. The platform's ability to display historical data is directly tied to the data retention policies and capabilities of your MMP.

While the MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform can maintain an extensive historical database from the start of your campaigns, the visible data in the platform depends on the continuous retrieval of data from your MMP. If the MMP was not integrated with MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform during a given period, there is no data for that period in the platform.

When data collection begins

Data collection and availability begin at the moment you connect your MMP to MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform. This is the starting point for data gathering, which continues as long as your MMP integration remains active.

As a result, any campaign activity that occurred before your MMP integration date is not visible in the Apple Ads CMP by default, even if that data exists in your MMP dashboard.

How to access historical data

If you need to view data from before your integration date, you can export your historical data from your MMP and have it imported into the MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform. Contact your dedicated Customer Success Manager or the support team to arrange this.
