What Ratings shows you
The tool has two tabs. Total Ratings aggregates every rating the app has ever received, giving you the full lifetime picture.
Daily Ratings lets you scope the view to a specific date range, useful for evaluating the impact of a release, a campaign, or a reputation event.
Within each tab, the page surfaces a summary card with average rating and star distribution, a category benchmark comparing your score against other apps in your space, a ratings chart showing how volume and average rating evolved over time, a country breakdown, a version breakdown, and a sentiment analysis widget that groups ratings into supportive, neutral, and crucial buckets.
When to use Ratings
- Track how a new app version affected user perception by comparing ratings before and after the release date in Daily Ratings.
- Identify markets where your average rating is significantly below other countries and investigate localization or support gaps.
- Monitor the Crucial sentiment bucket for spikes that signal a product issue worth escalating.
- Benchmark your category average against competitors to see whether your score reflects genuine quality or simply matches the baseline.
