Read the performance metrics

Search tab shows three columns of performance data for every ad runner. Together, they tell you how prominent each app’s Search tab presence is and how strong its overall paid visibility is.

The performance columns

CleanShot 2026-06-11 at 11.38.36@2x

  • Impression Share: The share of Search tab impressions the app captured on the selected date.
  • Apple Ads Visibility Score: A measure of how visible the app is across Apple Ads overall, not just the Search tab.
  • Category: The App Store category the app belongs to, useful for filtering down to competitors in your space.

How to read the metrics together

  • A high impression share with a high visibility score points to an app investing aggressively in both the Search tab and the broader Apple Ads ecosystem.
  • A high impression share with a lower visibility score can signal an app that is focused specifically on the Search tab placement.
  • Comparing impression share across apps in the same category shows who is dominating the Search tab in your space on that day.
