How to compare apps in App Performance

This article shows you how to read the App Comparison table and compare the performance and competitive position of your selected apps.

Before you begin

Select at least one app in App Performance. For details, see How to analyze your app portfolio with App Performance.

The App Comparison table

The App Comparison section lets you compare the selected apps side by side. Apps are displayed from highest to lowest CR.

The table includes the following columns:

  • App Name
  • App Category
  • Aggregated Impression Share
  • Competition Status
  • Portfolio Position
  • Spend, Installs
  • CPA
  • CR
  • CPT
  • TTR

Aggregated Impression Share

Aggregated Impression Share shows the share of available impressions captured by an app across its top 25 keyword × storefront pairs, ranked by spend over the last 28 days. It is classified as Powerful (above 70%), Medium (30% to 70%), or Weak (below 30%).

The Aggregated Impression Share badge is clickable. Click it to open a modal with a daily Aggregated Impression Share chart for the selected app.

Competition Status

Competition Status indicates the level of competitive pressure based on the change in CPT over the last 28 days. It is shown as High, Low, or Stable.

Portfolio Position

Portfolio Position evaluates each selected app against the average CPA and CR of the portfolio over the last 28 days. Each app is classified as Top Performer, Average, or Underperformer.

For details on each metric, see Understanding App Performance metrics.

Sort the table

Click the sort icon next to a column header to change the sorting order. Sortable columns support ascending and descending sorting.

Keep in mind!

  • Portfolio Position is relative to the apps you selected. If you add or remove apps, the portfolio averages change, and an app's position can change too.
  • If an app has no data for the period, its metrics are shown as 0 or 0%, and its Aggregated Impression Share, Competition Status, and Portfolio Position are shown as "-".
