How can I research competitor keywords without Search Ads Intelligence?

Search Ads Intelligence is the tool for paid competitor keyword data, showing which keywords competitors bid on in Apple Ads. Without it, you cannot pull paid keyword data. You can still do organic competitor keyword research with ASO Intelligence, which shows where you and your competitors rank in the App Store.

Use Competitor Keywords for organic research

Competitor Keywords in ASO Intelligence compares your app's organic App Store rankings against a competitor's. It is an organic tool, not a paid keyword tool. It shows three groups of keywords: keywords your app ranks for but the competitor doesn't, keywords you both rank for, and keywords the competitor ranks for but your app doesn't. The competitor-only group is where you find gaps, terms a competitor ranks for organically that you do not.

You can compare against one competitor at a time with Direct Comparison, or line up several competitors at once to see overlap across a wider set.

Use AI Keyword Planner for keyword ideas

AI Keyword Planner in MobileAction CMP helps you discover keyword ideas from your app or from a seed keyword. It does not provide competitor keyword data on its own. What you can do is take the keywords it surfaces and add them to Competitor Keywords, then check whether your competitors rank for them organically. This turns a list of ideas into a view of where competitors already have organic presence.
