Ask questions and get better answers

The AI Assistant understands natural language, and a few phrasing habits make its answers noticeably faster and more precise.

This article covers how to start, how to phrase questions, and how the assistant handles time ranges.

Start from the example cards

When you select a campaign group in a new chat, six example question cards appear. Clicking a card instantly sends that question. The cards are general examples shown to every user, not personalized to your account. They are a quick way to see what the assistant can do before typing your own questions.

Phrasing tips

Questions can be up to 1000 characters; at the limit, the send button is disabled, and a warning appears until you shorten the message. For the best results:

  • Ask one question per message rather than combining several asks.
  • Put multi-word campaign or ad group names in quotes for exact matching, for example “US Launch”.
  • Name the entity type, for example “Brand Keywords ad group”, not just “Brand Keywords”.
  • Use names instead of internal IDs.
  • Use YYYY-MM-DD formatting for precise date ranges.
  • Name the relevant goal when asking about ROAS or goal completions.
  • Start a message with “New topic:” when changing subjects, so earlier context is not carried over.

These tips are also available inside the assistant via the “Tips and tricks for better responses” link.

How time ranges work

If your question includes a time range, the assistant uses it directly. If it does not, the assistant asks you to pick one before analyzing: last 7 days, last 14 days, last 28 days, or a custom range. If your question mentions two ranges, it asks which one you mean, and you can analyze both.

Keep in mind!

  • Questions about SOV are understood as Impression Share; Apple renamed the metric, and the assistant notes this in its answers.
  • While an answer is generating, the send button becomes a stop button. You can type your next message meanwhile, but it cannot be sent until the current answer finishes. You can stop generation at any point and keep what was produced so far, or move to another chat and return later.
