About App Collections
App Collections is a tool in the Ad Intelligence module of the MobileAction platform. It lets you group apps into named lists so you can track and compare their ad activity without running a new search every time.
This article explains what App Collections does and how it fits into an ad intelligence workflow. To start creating collections, see Create and manage App Collections.
What App Collections does
App Collections stores groups of apps you want to monitor or compare. Each collection has a name and can hold any number of apps, competitors in a specific market, top advertisers on a specific network, publishers you are evaluating for placements, or any other grouping that is useful for your research.

Opening a collection shows a table of all the apps in that list. The table includes the app name, platform, developer, the ad networks it is active on, its category, its Unique Creatives count, and its Impression Score, the same metrics available in Developer Analysis. From this view, you can filter the table by app name, platform, and date range to focus on the data most relevant to your analysis.

Each collection also has a Show Top Advertisers shortcut that takes you directly to the Top Advertisers view filtered to the apps in that collection. You can also copy a shareable link to the collection or export the table as a CSV.
How App Collections fits into a workflow
App Collections is most useful as a persistent reference layer on top of the other Ad Intelligence tools. You build a collection once, for example, a set of competitors active on TikTok in the US, and return to it whenever you want to check on that group without reconstructing the same search.
Apps can be added to a collection from multiple places across Ad Intelligence: from the Developer Analysis table, from the Top Advertisers list, from the Top Publishers list, and from the Saving to App Collection panel that appears when you click an app icon in Developer Analysis.
