Get deeper insights from users with Reviews

The Reviews tool in MobileAction allows you to dive deep into user sentiment by bringing all your app reviews into a single, interactive dashboard. User reviews offer one of the richest sources of qualitative feedback, but they can also be overwhelming to manage. MobileAction’s Reviews tool helps you:

  • Track overall sentiment shifts across app versions or updates

  • Understand how users perceive your features and pricing

  • Prioritize bugs or complaints mentioned frequently

  • Spot marketing angles based on what users love

  • Keep tabs on how competitors are being reviewed (if selected)

You can explore user reviews under two main tabs:

  1. Review Analysis

  2. Most Mentioned Keywords Analysis

Let’s go through each section and show how you can make the most of it.

Review Analysis

The Review Analysis tab helps you monitor your app's ratings and reviews across time, platforms, and countries.

reviewchartsAt the top of the screen, you'll find a Daily Review Breakdown chart, which shows how many 1– to 5–star reviews your app received on each day in the selected date range. The stacked bar chart lets you visualize volume and sentiment at a glance. You can overlay App Updates and Annotations for deeper context. And you can always download the data in CSV format.

On the right, the Ratings Breakdown chart summarizes your total number of reviews, the distribution of star ratings, and your average rating over the selected time period.

Filter reviews by keyword or star rating to spot negative feedback faster or monitor how specific features are being received.

reviewwBelow the charts, you’ll find the individual reviews themselves, with:

  • User names and timestamps

  • Review content and rating

  • The option to reply to each review (once you've integrated your App Store Connect or Google Play Store account)

If your app isn't yet integrated, you'll see a prompt to connect. Once integrated, you’ll be able to respond to reviews directly from this dashboard.

Pro tip:  Use the "Not Replied Reviews" filter to quickly spot and respond to any unanswered reviews so nothing slips through the cracks.

Most Mentioned Keywords Analysis

The second tab, Most Mentioned Keywords Analysis, focuses on identifying what users talk about most in their reviews and how they feel about it.

This view includes:

  • The Keyword Cloud, showing the most commonly used words in your app’s reviews. Larger words = higher frequency.

When you're checking the Keyword Cloud view, don't forget to hover over the keyword to see the number of reviews and the average rating for the exact keyword.

  • The Keyword Plot, visualizing your app's most-mentioned keywords based on sentiment and frequency. Keywords positioned higher reflect positive feedback, whereas lower placement indicates negative sentiment. Keywords further to the right appear more frequently, helping you instantly spot impactful topics.

In the Keyword Plot view, hover over any keyword to view its exact rating and occurrence details.

  • The Keyword Table, listing each term’s volume, average rating, sentiment distribution, and trend over time.

most mentioned

You can also see in the table:

  • How often a keyword appears

  • Whether mentions of a keyword are trending up or down

  • The general sentiment associated with that term (positive, neutral, negative)

For example, if the word “sleep” appears 136 times with a 4.45 rating and a positive sentiment bar, it’s a good indicator that users associate your app positively with sleep content. On the other hand, if a keyword like “cost” appears frequently and is tied to lower ratings, it may flag a pricing concern worth investigating.

Use these insights to align product updates, ASO messaging, and marketing with what users care about most.

Final tips

  • Make it a habit to check the Review Analysis weekly to track new issues and celebrations.

  • Use the Most Mentioned Keywords Analysis to brief your product, support, and marketing teams on real user priorities.

  • Set alerts for new reviews so you can stay on top of sentiment shifts in real time.
