The Biggest Movers and Biggest Losers views help you identify which apps have seen the most dramatic shifts in the rankings, either upward or downward, within a single day. These views are especially useful for surfacing unexpected changes, identifying trending apps, or spotting early signs of user churn or growth surges.
You’ll find the layout divided into three familiar sections: Free, Paid, and Grossing—mirroring the Top Charts structure, but with an emphasis on momentum.
Biggest Movers
In the Biggest Movers tool, you’ll see apps that jumped the most ranks in the last 24 hours. This view highlights apps gaining traction fast, whether from a promotional push, a product update, or organic buzz.
Each app card displays:
-
The current rank
-
The number of positions moved (in green)
-
The app icon and name
-
Category and rating
-
Review count or revenue, depending on the chart
Example: If an app went from #182 to #97 in the Free chart, it’s marked as ↑85.
Use this chart to:
-
Spot apps riding the wave of virality or seasonal campaigns
-
Monitor your own app’s ranking change at a glance
-
Identify marketing activities worth reverse-engineering
Biggest Losers
The Biggest Losers tab flips the view, showing you which apps dropped the most spots in the same time frame. Whether due to expired promotions, negative reviews, or lost visibility, these apps may be signaling performance issues or making room for others to rise.
Each app is marked with:
-
Current rank
-
Number of spots lost (in red)
-
App details, ratings, and reviews
For instance, an app falling from #48 to #123 would be shown as ↓75.
Use this chart to:
-
Spot competitors that may be in trouble or losing relevance
-
Track the impact of app updates gone wrong
-
Identify when to move in on paid keywords or categories being vacated
