Generate AI-powered app review replies with AI Review Reply
The AI Review Reply page in the App Intelligence module helps you respond to reviews in seconds. Instead of spending time crafting each message, you can now generate thoughtful, on-brand replies with the help of AI, ready to edit, send, or save for later.
It’s especially useful for ASO managers, marketers, and UA specialists who want to keep user communication personal and consistent across the App Store and Google Play Store.
Before you begin
To start using AI Review Reply, make sure your app is connected through at least one of these integrations:
- App Store Connect – Reviews Manager
- Google Play Console – Reviews Manager
Check the articles here to understand how you can complete these integrations.
Once either of your integrations is active, your connected apps will automatically appear on the page.
A few other things to know before you begin:
- You can filter App Store reviews by country and Google Play Store reviews by language.
- AI replies are automatically generated in the same language as the original review.
- You can add up to five custom example review–reply pairs per app. These examples guide the AI to write in your brand’s tone, but they’re completely optional; great results are still generated even without them.
Get started
Once your integrations are ready, you can start using AI Review Reply right away.
Head over to App Intelligence > AI Review Reply, and you’ll see all the apps you’ve connected.
Start by choosing the app you want to focus on. You can narrow things down further by selecting a country (for App Store apps) or language (for Google Play Store apps), and set a date range to focus on recent or specific reviews.
After your filters are set, you’ll see all matching reviews listed on the page. From here, you can dig in and organize your view using a few helpful filters on the left:
- Rating filter lets you focus on reviews by score — for instance, spot and fix recurring issues in 1-star reviews or reply to 5-star feedback to show appreciation.
- Keyword filter helps you find reviews that mention a certain feature, bug, or keyword.
- Reviews filter helps you track which reviews still need your attention.
If you use the keyword filter, you can create a single, unified view that covers several similar reviews and generate AI replies, perfect for addressing common topics like “login issues” or “subscription questions” all at once.
When you’re ready to respond, select any review and click Generate Reply. You’ll be able to pick a tone that fits the situation best:
Professional, Friendly, Empathetic, Apologetic, or Grateful.
AI-based reply generator will write a response based on your selected tone and the review content.
The AI will write a reply based on your chosen tone and the review itself. You can edit it right away, or click Regenerate to see another version, either in the same tone or a completely new one.
If you want the replies to sound even more like your brand, you can add up to five example review–reply pairs. Think of these as training examples that guide how the AI writes in the future, keeping your tone consistent no matter who’s managing replies.
Pro tip
Try using example pairs for the most common feedback topics like pricing, crashes, or feature requests. This helps the AI learn how you usually respond, so your replies stay consistent and sound like “you.”
