You can select one or more apps, but only from a single platform at a time. For example, you can select multiple App Store apps or multiple Google Play Store apps, but you cannot mix App Store and Google Play Store apps in the same report view.

To select apps:

  1. Open the app selector.
  2. Select one or more apps from the list.
  3. Make sure the selected apps are from the same platform.
  4. Click Apply.

Use the country selector when you want to review performance for all countries or narrow the report to a specific market.

Compare date ranges

Download Report lets you compare two date ranges side by side.

Use date range comparison to review changes in:

  • Download growth
  • Seasonal performance
  • Campaign impact
  • Source-level trends
  • Organic and paid download patterns

To compare performance:

  1. Select the main date range.
  2. Select Compare Date.
  3. Choose the comparison date range.
  4. Review the dashboard to compare performance across the two periods.

When comparison is enabled, the chart helps you review how download trends changed between the selected periods.

Read the key metrics panel

The key metrics panel gives you a summary of download performance for the selected apps, countries, and date range.

Review download trends

The line chart shows download performance over time for the selected metrics.

You can switch the chart view by:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

Use these views depending on how detailed your analysis needs to be.

  • Daily view helps you review short-term changes and sudden spikes.
  • Weekly view helps you review broader movement without daily noise.
  • Monthly view helps you review higher-level performance trends.

When you hover over the chart, you can see the download value for each selected metric on that date or period.

Review source-level performance

The Source Details panel shows which sources contribute to your downloads.

Sources can include for the App Store:

Use this panel to understand which sources are driving the most downloads.

This can help you identify where your acquisition mix is strongest and where performance may need attention.

Review daily download trends in Total View

The Total View panel lists download data for the selected period.

It shows organic, paid, and Apple Ads numbers side by side, so you can review how performance changed across the date range.

Use Total View to spot:

  • Peaks in download activity
  • Drops in performance
  • Seasonal patterns
  • Differences between organic, paid, and Apple Ads downloads

Export report data

You can export Download Report data by:

  • Day
  • Week
  • Month

Use exported data for:

  • Monthly reports
  • Strategy sessions
  • Presentations
  • External analysis tools

Choose the export granularity based on how detailed your report needs to be.

For example, use daily data to review short-term changes, or weekly and monthly data for higher-level reporting.
