View, compare, and export download data in Download Report
Use Download Report to review download performance for selected apps, countries, and date ranges.
You can use Download Report to compare download trends, review source-level performance, switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views, and export the report data as a CSV file.
Before you begin
To use Download Report, you must have the required store integration connected.
Your available data depends on which integrations are connected.

Note: If Apple Ads is not connected, Apple Ads data may show as 0 or may not be available, depending on your account setup and selected app.
Select apps and countries
Before you review the report, choose the app and country view you want to analyze.

At the top of the page, you can use:

Lets you compare the selected period with another date range |
You can select one or more apps, but only from a single platform at a time. For example, you can select multiple App Store apps or multiple Google Play Store apps, but you cannot mix App Store and Google Play Store apps in the same report view.
To select apps:
- Open the app selector.
- Select one or more apps from the list.
- Make sure the selected apps are from the same platform.
- Click Apply.
Use the country selector when you want to review performance for all countries or narrow the report to a specific market.
Compare date ranges
Download Report lets you compare two date ranges side by side.
Use date range comparison to review changes in:
- Download growth
- Seasonal performance
- Campaign impact
- Source-level trends
- Organic and paid download patterns
To compare performance:
- Select the main date range.
- Select Compare Date.
- Choose the comparison date range.
- Review the dashboard to compare performance across the two periods.
When comparison is enabled, the chart helps you review how download trends changed between the selected periods.
Read the key metrics panel
The key metrics panel gives you a summary of download performance for the selected apps, countries, and date range.

For App Store apps, the panel can include:

Each metric has a checkbox. Select or clear a checkbox to show or hide that metric in the chart.
Review download trendsThe line chart shows download performance over time for the selected metrics.
You can switch the chart view by:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
Use these views depending on how detailed your analysis needs to be.
- Daily view helps you review short-term changes and sudden spikes.
- Weekly view helps you review broader movement without daily noise.
- Monthly view helps you review higher-level performance trends.
When you hover over the chart, you can see the download value for each selected metric on that date or period.
Review source-level performanceThe Source Details panel shows which sources contribute to your downloads.
Sources can include for the App Store:

- Search
- Browse
- App Referrer
- Web Referrer
- App Clip
- Institutional Purchase
- Unavailable
Sources can include for the Google Play Store:
- Google Play Explore
- Google Play Search
- Ads and Referrals
- Other Downloads
Use this panel to understand which sources are driving the most downloads.
This can help you identify where your acquisition mix is strongest and where performance may need attention.
Review daily download trends in Total ViewThe Total View panel lists download data for the selected period.
It shows organic, paid, and Apple Ads numbers side by side, so you can review how performance changed across the date range.
Use Total View to spot:
- Peaks in download activity
- Drops in performance
- Seasonal patterns
- Differences between organic, paid, and Apple Ads downloads
Export report data
You can export Download Report data by:
- Day
- Week
- Month
Use exported data for:
- Monthly reports
- Strategy sessions
- Presentations
- External analysis tools
Choose the export granularity based on how detailed your report needs to be.
For example, use daily data to review short-term changes, or weekly and monthly data for higher-level reporting.
