Use filters to refine advertiser research
Advertiser Analysis has two levels of filters: global filters that apply to all distribution sections and the Creatives grid, and creative-level filters that narrow the Creatives section specifically. This article explains each filter and how to combine them for common research tasks.
Global filters
The global filters sit at the top of the page and affect every section, App Overview stats, all distribution charts, and the Creatives grid.
- The country selector narrows results to a specific storefront.
- The network selector restricts data to a specific ad network.
- The date range controls the detection window with the same options as Creative Analysis: Last week, Last month, Select week, Select weeks, Select month, and Select months.
- The DSP toggle includes or excludes demand-side platform inventory across the entire page.

The Based on toggle in distribution sections
Each distribution section (Ad Networks, Country Distribution, Media Type, and Media Resolutions) has its own Based on dropdown that switches between Creatives and Impressions.

This toggle applies only to that section and does not affect others. Switching to Impressions shows the distribution weighted by how often each creative was served, rather than by unique creative count.
The two views can differ significantly if one network or format is running fewer creatives but at a much higher frequency.
Creative-level filters
The creative-level filters apply only to the Creatives section at the bottom of the page.

They work identically to Creative Analysis: State, Ad Format (Video, Image, Interstitial, Banner, Interactive, Rewarded), Status (Live, Archived, or both), and Sort By (First Seen or Impression Share).
Combining filters for common research tasks
To understand where a competitor is most active right now, set the global date range to Last month, leave the country and network selectors on All, and switch the Ad Networks Distribution Based on toggle to Impressions. This shows you where the heaviest ad serving is concentrated regardless of creative volume.
To track whether a competitor has entered a new market, set Country Distribution to the History tab and review which country lines are rising over the selected period.
To focus the Creatives section on a specific format, set Ad Format to the format you want (for example, Video) and set Sort By to Impression Share to see which video creatives are performing most prominently.
To compare network activity across two different periods, change the global date range and note how the Ad Networks Distribution Overview bar chart changes. The WoW Analysis tab within that section gives a more granular week-by-week view for the same period.
