Translate and localize keywords with Keyword Translator
Keyword Translator generates translations of your app store keywords across over 20 languages at once, showing each translation's search volume so you can identify which localized terms are worth tracking before adding them to your keyword lists.
If you want to understand how the character count column works before getting started, go to Manage character count across language sets.
Before you start
Keyword Translator works with any keywords you type in; you do not need to have them tracked in your account first.
You can enter multiple keywords at once and they will all be translated simultaneously. Make sure your source language is set correctly before clicking Translate, as this affects the quality of the translations generated.
How to use it
1. Open Keyword Translator from the MobileAction platform navigation menu.2. Use the Translate From dropdown at the top left to select your source language, the language your keywords are currently in.
3. In the keyword input field next to the language selector, type your keywords one at a time and press Enter after each one to add it as a tag. You can add up to 20 keywords and they will all be translated together in one pass.
4. Click Translate. The results table loads with a row for each available language, showing your translated keyword suggestions, their search volume scores, and the character count for that language.
5. Review the Translated Keyword column for each language. Each keyword appears as a pill with its search volume score. Higher search scores indicate stronger search demand in that market for that term. A checkmark on a pill means the keyword is already in your tracking list.
6. To check whether a translated keyword is already being tracked for a specific storefront, click the country flag icon for that storefront in the Language column. A blue checkmark on the flag indicates the keyword is already tracked for that storefront.
7. To add a translated keyword to your Keyword Tracking list, click the plus icon on that keyword's pill. The keyword is added to Keyword Tracking immediately for the selected app and country.
8. Repeat for each language you want to cover, focusing on translations with higher volume scores and character counts that fit within the 100-character limit.
After you finish
Once you have added your translated keywords to Keyword Tracking, monitor their ranking progress over time using the Tracked Keywords tab.
To check whether your app's metadata is already localized for the markets you have just added keywords for, go to Check localization coverage across markets.
