Switch between Normal Sort and Smart Sort
Biggest Movers offers two sorting modes that change how rank movement is calculated and displayed. Choose the mode that fits the type of analysis you want to run.
Normal Sort
Normal Sort measures rank movement over a single day. It shows apps that gained the most positions between yesterday and the selected end date, giving you a snapshot of what surged most recently.
Use Normal Sort when you want to:
- Catch apps that spiked overnight or in the last 24 hours.
- Identify immediate reactions to a product launch, campaign, or viral moment.
- Get a quick daily briefing on ranking momentum.
Smart Sort
Smart Sort measures rank movement across a custom date range defined by a Start Date and an End Date. It shows apps that gained the most positions from the start of the period to the end, letting you identify sustained climbers rather than single-day spikes.
Use Smart Sort when you want to:
- Track momentum over a week, month, or any custom window.
- Identify apps that have been steadily climbing rather than just spiking once.
- Evaluate the cumulative ranking impact of a longer campaign or feature rollout.
Switch between modes
- Find the Normal Sort and Smart Sort toggles at the top left of the page.
- Click the mode you want to use.
- When Smart Sort is selected, a Start Date picker appears next to the End Date picker. Set both dates to define your measurement window.
