Review tracked keyword performance
The Tracked Keywords tab shows performance metrics for every keyword you are monitoring, so you can assess which keywords are working, spot ranking movements, and find opportunities to act on.
If you have not added keywords yet, go to Add keywords to Keyword Tracking first.
Before you start
The Tracked Keywords tab shows data for the selected app and country. Use the country selector and device toggle at the top of the page to ensure you are viewing the correct market.
You can filter the table by keyword group using the dropdown at the top left, or use the Filters panel on the right edge of the table to narrow results further.
Read the keyword metrics
- Volume: Indicates keyword Popularity by using Popularity for Apple Ads active countries for the App Store and Volume for Apple Ads inactive countries for the App Store and for Google Play Store. It is scaled from 0-100, with higher scores mean higher search popularity.
- Relevancy: Shows how closely a keyword is related to an app. It is based on brand association, competitor relevance, and organic rankings. The score is categorized as Lowest, Low, Medium, or High, with High indicating stronger relevance to the app
- Chance: Gives the probability of an app ranking within the top 10 for a particular keyword. It is based on the number of competing apps and the app's ranking, scaled from 0-100, with higher scores mean a better chance.
- Difficulty: Shows how challenging it is for an app to rank in the top 10 for a given keyword. It is based on the competition level and the app's visibility, scaled from 0-100, with higher scores mean greater difficulty.
- Ranked Apps: The number of apps currently ranking for this keyword in the selected country.
- Rank: Your app's current position for this keyword. An upward arrow with a number indicates your rank has improved since the last update; a downward arrow indicates it has dropped. Unranked means your app is not currently in the measurable ranking positions for that keyword.
Check live app rankings for a keyword
Click the magnifying glass icon next to any keyword's rank to open the Live App Rankings popup.

This popup shows the apps currently ranking for that keyword in real time, along with each app's rating, total rating count, and visibility score.

If you want to add one of the ranked apps as a competitor, click + Competitor next to that app.
Find related and suggested keywords
Click the lightbulb icon in the Actions column for any keyword to open the Show Related and Suggested Keywords panel.

This popup shows keywords semantically related to the selected keyword, along with their metrics, so you can quickly identify additional terms worth tracking.

After you finish
Use the metrics to prioritize your keyword strategy. Keywords with high volume, high relevancy, and low difficulty relative to your Chance score are typically the strongest candidates for metadata optimization.
To see how your rankings compare against competitors for the same keywords, go to Compare competitor keyword rankings. To track ranking changes over time, go to View keyword ranking history.
