Market Finder FAQ
Find the quick answers to the most common questions about Market Finder below.
What data does Market Finder use?
Market Finder uses category-level Apple Ads benchmark data from Q1 2026 (January 1 to March 31, 2026). The data period is displayed at the top left of the page, and more data periods are planned to be added over time.
Can I see actual performance values?
No. Market Finder displays anonymized indexes on a 10 to 90 scale rather than the underlying Apple data. The indexes let you compare the relative performance of different markets while keeping the underlying data anonymous.
Why does the number of storefronts differ between placements?
Storefront availability can vary by category and placement. Therefore, each placement widget may contain a different number of storefronts.
What does a High Opportunity Score mean?
A score between 67 and 90 is labeled High. It indicates a relatively strong combination of conversion performance and acquisition cost compared with the other markets in the same category and placement.
Why can a high CPA or CPT Index be a bad thing?
The indexes represent the relative value of each metric, not whether the metric is good or bad. For cost metrics, a higher index means a higher cost. For example, a high CPA Index indicates a relatively higher acquisition cost.
Which metrics are used to calculate the Opportunity Score?
Only the CR Index and the CPA Index are used: Opportunity Score = (CR Index + (100 − CPA Index)) / 2. The CPT Index and CPM Index are provided as additional benchmarks and do not affect the Opportunity Score.
Can I change my app category?
Yes. Click the Edit icon next to your app information, update the category, and click Save Changes. Market Finder then generates the analysis for the new category.
Can I change the data period?
No. Market Finder currently uses a fixed Q1 2026 data period.
Why is Market Finder locked in my side menu?
Market Finder is included in Enterprise plans. If you see a lock icon next to Market Finder, your current plan does not include it; click Market Finder to schedule a demo with our team.
Why isn't the AI Summary available?
The AI Summary requires the Generative AI Features consent to be granted on your account. If you are an account admin, grant it directly from the AI Summary section or from Settings > User Details. If you are not an account admin, ask an admin on your account to grant it.
