Identify metadata gaps by country

Expanding an app row in the Localization table shows the full localized content for that market (title, subtitle, screenshots, and description) so you can inspect what a competitor has written, compare it to your own copy, and extract the keywords they are targeting in that language.

If you have not reviewed your overall localization coverage yet, go to Check localization coverage across markets first.

Before you start

You can expand any app row in the Localization table to see its full localized metadata for that language. To compare your content against a competitor's in the same market, add the competitor to the table first so both rows are visible before you expand them.

How to use it

1. In the Localization table, locate the country group for the market you want to inspect.

2. Click the arrow on the left side of the app row you want to expand. The row opens to show the full localized content for that market, including the Title, Subtitle, Screenshots, and Description.

3. Review the localized Title and Subtitle text. To see which keywords are embedded in that copy, click Get keywords below the relevant field. The tool extracts the keywords from the localized text and displays them as tags with their search volume scores. Use this to understand which terms a competitor is targeting in that language.

4. Scroll down within the expanded row to review the Screenshots for that market. This part shows the visual assets the app is using in that specific storefront.

5. Review the Description to see the full localized text for that market.

6. To compare your own content against a competitor's for the same market, expand both rows and review them side by side. The keyword tags extracted from Get keywords make it easy to spot which terms a competitor is using in their title or subtitle that you may not be targeting in your own localized copy.

After you finish

Use the keywords you find to inform your localized metadata in App Store Connect or Google Play Console. If you want to compare the screenshots and visual assets each app is using in a specific market, go to Compare localized creatives by market. If you want to test new localized title or subtitle copy before publishing, go to Score and optimize your app's title and subtitle.
