When to use Daily Ranking HistoryUse Daily Ranking History when you want to understand how your app’s category ranking changes day by day.
This view can help you monitor the impact of:
- An app update
- A paid campaign
- Seasonality
- Competitor movement
- Changes in organic momentum
Daily Ranking History is best for trend analysis. If you want to see where your app ranks across countries on a specific day, use Daily Country Ranking instead.
Choose the ranking context
At the top of Daily Ranking History, choose the context you want to review.

You can choose:
- Country: The country you want to analyze.
- Platform: iPhone or iPad.
- Ranking set: Free, Paid, or Grossing.
- Date: Time period you want to check.
These choices control what the ranking chart and table show.
Read the ranking chart
The chart shows how your app’s category ranking changes day by day.

Use the chart to look for ranking movement over time. For example, you can review whether your app’s ranking changed after a version update, a campaign, or a seasonal period.
When you compare ranking movement over time, focus on the overall pattern instead of one isolated day. This can help you understand whether your app is gaining, losing, or maintaining category position.
Add context with App Updates and Annotations
You can turn on App Updates and Annotations to add markers to the chart.
These markers help you connect ranking movement with important events, such as:
- Feature releases
- Content changes
- Other notes added as annotations
Adding these makes it easier to review whether a ranking fluctuation happened near a known change.
Switch between linear and logarithmic viewsYou can switch between linear and logarithmic views.
Use this option when you want to adjust how ranking movement is displayed on the chart. This can be helpful when your app has a wider range of movement across the selected period.
Review the comparison table
Below the chart, you can review a table that compares your app with selected competitors.

The table includes category ranking details and Organic Visibility Score.
Organic Visibility Score gives an additional layer of insight beyond rank itself. It can help you review organic momentum together with category position.
Export data and create alerts
You can export the data for reporting or stakeholder updates.
You can also set alerts to monitor significant drops or gains in rank. Alerts are useful when you want to follow ranking changes for your own app or track competitor movement after a feature release or pricing change.
To learn more about how to create alerts, you can check Create Alerts.
