Tracking apps lets you monitor their performance, analyze competition, and uncover growth opportunities across various tools in the platform. This article covers how to add apps to your tracked list, manage them, remove them, and where your tracked apps appear across MobileAction.
How to add apps to your tracked list
- Click the search bar at the top.
- From here, you can browse Recently Viewed, My Apps, or Publishers; filter by platform (App Store or Google Play Store); or use the search bar to find a specific app.
- Go to the My Apps tab.
- Click the circle next to an app to preview it.
Keep in mind!
Selecting an app here does not automatically start tracking.
- To start tracking, navigate to the app's detail view and click the Track button.
Once tracked, a green Tracking badge appears, and the app becomes available across modules.
Add an app by ID
- Find your app link on the App Store or the Google Play Store.
- Find your app ID: for the App Store, copy the numbers after "id"; for Google Play Store, copy the value after "id=".
- Paste your app ID into the search box.
How to manage tracked apps
- Click Manage my apps at the bottom of the My Apps tab.
- This section shows all your tracked apps, along with the number of competitors and keywords linked, and platform and category details.
Use the search bar to quickly locate or update any app in your list.
How to remove an app from tracking
You can remove a tracked app in two ways.
1. From the app's detail view
- While viewing the app, click the Tracking button again.
- A confirmation message appears. Click Remove to stop tracking.
2. From the Manage my apps panel
- Open Manage my apps via the My Apps tab.
- Hover over the app you want to remove.
- Click the trash can button and confirm the removal.
After removal, the app no longer appears in tracked modules or contributes to competitor comparisons.
Keep in mind!
When you stop tracking an app, the keywords and competitors tracked under that app are also removed. If you add the app back later, you will need to set up its tracked keywords and competitors again, so remove an app only if you are sure you no longer need its data.
Where your tracked apps appear
Once an app is tracked, it becomes available across modules and is accessed the same way in most of them. At the top of each tool you will find the My Apps dropdown to pick a tracked app, and a row of app toggles (the selectable app chips with a plus button to add more) to switch between or compare the apps you track.
This works consistently across App Intelligence, ASO Intelligence, Search Ads Intelligence, and Ad Intelligence.
