Get started with Automations

Automations help you optimize your Apple Ads campaigns automatically using real-time performance metrics. Instead of manually monitoring performance across many levels and time periods, Automations evaluate conditions and take the actions you set.

Before you begin

  • You need a valid Apple Ads integration with at least one campaign group and one campaign.
  • If you don’t have an MMP integration, you can still set up automations, but you cannot use MMP-related metrics.
  • Both paid and free users can set up automations.

What you can do with Automations

Automations enable you to optimize Apple Ads campaigns automatically using real-time performance metrics.

  • Automatically adjusting bids or budgets in real time based on performance signals
  • Controlling spend to keep campaigns efficient
  • Receiving alerts for important changes
  • Identifying new relevant keywords as they emerge
  • Pausing underperforming keywords or excluding search terms that drain budget
  • Activating campaigns, ad groups, or keywords that show growth potential
  • Monitoring and reacting to Apple SOV data for brand protection
