Compare keyword overlap across multiple competitors

The Multi Comparison tab in Competitor Keywords lets you compare your app against up to four competitors at the same time, showing how all selected apps rank for the same keywords in a single table.

If you want a focused head-to-head comparison against one competitor using a Venn diagram instead, go to Find keyword gaps with Direct Comparison.

Before you start

Multi Comparison shows keywords across all selected apps simultaneously. Your own app is included by default. You can add up to 5 competitors using the app chip selector at the top of the table. The comparison uses organic keyword data for the selected storefront. Make sure the correct storefront is selected at the top of the page before starting.

How to use it

1. Open Competitor Keywords from the MobileAction platform navigation menu and click the Multi Comparison tab.

2. Use the app chip selector at the top of the table to add the competitors you want to include. Your own app appears as the first chip. Add up to four more apps by selecting them from the competitor list. Each selected app appears as a column in the keyword table.

3. Review the keyword table. Each row is a keyword. The columns show Volume, Difficulty, Ranked Apps, and one Rank column per selected app. Use the rank columns to compare how each app positions for every keyword in the table.

4. Look for keywords where your app shows Unranked while one or more competitors have a strong rank. These are your highest-priority gap keywords, terms with proven demand where you currently have no organic presence.

5. To toggle a competitor on or off without removing them from the comparison, use the app chip checkboxes at the top of the table. This lets you isolate specific pairings within the multi-app view.

6. To add a keyword from the table to your Keyword Tracking list, click the plus icon at the left of that keyword's row. The keyword is added to your tracked keywords immediately.

After you finish

Use the Multi Comparison table to build a prioritized list of keywords to investigate further.

Add the strongest gap opportunities to Keyword Tracking to monitor your ranking progress over time.

For a deeper look at any individual keyword's metrics, search volume history, and ranking data, go to Analyze keyword performance with Keyword Inspector.
