Browse publishers and analyze ad placement data

The Ad Publisher Analysis view shows you which creatives are running on a publisher app and what the advertiser and placement details look like for each one. This article explains how to open the tool, read the App Overview, and work with the Published Creatives section.

To understand what Ad Publisher Analysis tracks and how it differs from the other Ad Intelligence tools, see About Ad Publisher Analysis.

Open Ad Publisher Analysis

  1. Open Ad Publisher Analysis from the Ad Intelligence module in the navigation menu.

  2. Search for the publisher app you want to analyze using the search bar at the top, or select from My Apps. Use the competitor chip row to switch to a competitor publisher.

  3. The App Overview loads at the top of the page.

Read the App Overview

The App Overview shows three items.

  • Publishers Ranking is the app's rank among all detected publishers.
  • Advertiser Count is the total number of distinct advertisers whose creatives were detected on this publisher within the selected filters and date range.
  • Installed Advertisement SDKs shows the ad network SDKs installed in the publisher app, the networks with which this publisher is integrated. The quick links below the stats jump directly to the top publishers list or the full advertiser list.

Browse the Published Creatives section

The Published Creatives section shows every ad detected on this publisher app within the selected filters. Each card shows the advertiser's app name and icon, the ad headline if one was detected, the date range the creative was seen on this publisher and its total duration, its Impression Share, and the ad network icon.

Hover over a card to reveal the Save to Creative Collection button. Click any card to open the creative detail panel.

Read the creative detail panel

The detail panel shows the creative asset on the left and three sections on the right. Creative Details includes the ad network routing (shown as a chain, for example, AdMob → Liftoff) along with the media type, dimensions, file size, First Seen and Last Seen dates, Duration days, and Status.

The Ad Networks field in Creative Details shows how the creative was routed. The first network is where the ad originated; the second is the intermediary or SSP that delivered it to the publisher. This chain tells you how the placement was brokered.

Copy Analysis shows the ad copy variants used for that creative broken down by Title, Subtitle, Body, Country, and impression share percentage. If no copy data has been detected yet, the section shows an empty state.

Top Ad Publishers shows a ranked list of publisher apps that served this specific creative, with each publisher's share as a percentage and a progress bar. This lets you see whether a creative is concentrated on one publisher or distributed across many.

After you finish

If you find a publisher that is carrying a competitor's creatives at high Impression Share, that publisher is a relevant placement to evaluate for your own campaigns.

If you want to see the full picture of what a specific advertiser is running across all publishers, switch to Advertiser Analysis for that app.
