Best practices for a smooth Apple Ads integration

Follow these practices after completing your integration to confirm that everything is set up correctly and that data is flowing as expected.

Keep in mind!

If you are starting Apple Ads from scratch, you need to create at least one campaign in your Apple Ads account for your app and campaigns to appear in MobileAction’s Apple Ads CMP.

  • Set account permissions correctly 

Use Account Read and Write to get full access to MobileAction’s Apple Ads Campaign Management Platform’s optimization tools. Without this permission level, you will not be able to use Smart Bidding, Automations, or Budget Allocation. See Permission types in Apple Ads Integration.

  • Maintain active sessions during integration

Keep both your MobileAction’s Apple Ads CMP session and your Apple Ads dashboard session active throughout the integration process to avoid interruptions.

  • Verify data accuracy after integration 

Once the integration is complete, confirm that data from the Apple Ads dashboard is being accurately reflected in MobileAction’s Apple Ads CMP. If you see zero or fluctuating values shortly after integration, this is expected while the initial data sync is in progress. See Data availability after Apple Ads integration.
