Add an ad in Ads Manager
This article explains how to create an ad from the Ads layer in Ads Manager. If you are setting up an ad as part of a new campaign or ad group, the same creative selection is available at the end of those creation flows.
Before you start
You need an existing ad group to attach the ad to. The ad group must already be created before you can add an ad to it.
Custom product pages must be created and published in Apple Ads native before they appear as creative options here. The platform cannot create or edit custom product pages.
Open the Create Ad panel
Open Ads Manager and select the Ads tab. Click the + button above the table to open the Create Ad panel.

At the top of the panel, you will see the Selected Account and Selected App already in context based on your current view.
Set up the ad

Enter an ad name: Give the ad a clear name. This name appears in the Ads table and helps you identify which creative is running.
Make this ad active: This toggle is on by default. If you want to save the ad without activating it immediately, turn the toggle off before saving.
Select a creative source
Under Select Creative Sources, you will see the custom product pages available for the selected app. Each page shows its name, a short description, and a preview thumbnail.
Click a custom product page to select it. The preview panel on the right updates immediately to show how the ad will appear in the App Store.
You can adjust three preview settings on the right panel:
Device: Toggle between iPhone and iPad to see how the ad renders on each.
Display Type: Switch between Images and other available display formats.
Language: Select the language to preview the ad in.
Note: Ratings and prices shown in the preview do not reflect actual numbers. Pre-order labels are not included in the preview. If your app uses different icons across storefronts, the preview may not match exactly.
When you are ready, select Save to create the ad.
After you finish
Your ad will appear in the Ads table in Ads Manager. You can activate, pause, or compare ads at any time from the Ads layer using the Actions menu. To view ad performance metrics, you can also use the Ads layer in Ads Manager.
